Meet the Founder

Becky Kliss
Becky Kliss, a proud member of the Class of 1986, believes the ’80s were more than just a decade. They were a cultural movement. Raised on mixtapes, mall culture, bike riding, and Saturday morning cartoons, she lived the freedom, creativity, and optimism that shaped Generation X during its most defining years.
As the author of The Invincible ’80s series, Becky set out to capture the stories, style, and spirit of a generation that is anything but fading into the background. What began as a celebration of nostalgia has grown into something bigger, a movement that honors the music, memories, and mindset that shaped millions of us.
Through events, community gatherings, and the Invincible ’80s platform, Becky brings Gen Xers together to reconnect, laugh, remember, and build something meaningful today. For her, the ’80s aren’t about what we wore or what we watched, they were about who we became today.
